Spring Return Door Lock
thingiverse
I'm glad I could find a basic lock that fits my needs, but I really wanted one with a spring return mechanism. I also appreciate working with objects that can be manipulated easily. Unfortunately, I couldn't locate the exact design I was looking for, so I decided to create one myself. Perhaps another individual out there will benefit from this design, or maybe not. The bolt and capture nut have been recessed to accommodate an 8mm spring measuring 35mm in length. The labeled versions are simply a result of Fusion 360's capabilities, with no impact on how this mechanism is assembled. Four-millimeter or #6 wood screws can be easily secured into the counter-sunk holes. I've provided two distinct handle options for the bolt: smooth and textured. All components have been printed before being shared online and are currently in use. A V6 lock body has additional fillet support, along with a bidirectional rear position lock feature.
