Spring Razor from Dishonored
thingiverse
Disclaimer: This replica isn't a toy. Some of its spikes are sharp, so be cautious when assembling it. Spring Razor from Dishonored was my inspiration for this project. I studied various clips from the game to get an accurate representation. After several revisions, I think it looks authentic to the original game design. In my opinion, it's far more precise than the one Bethesda displayed at E3. The spike feet and upper arms are attached with brass screws, which can be removed if this were a real weapon. I aimed to make it more engaging than just a plastic replica, so I connected the ring pin to the shrapnel. This feature might seem gimmicky, but the shrapnel will move slightly when you pull on the ring pin, giving the illusion that this replica actually has a function. Be cautious not to play with it excessively, or you'll risk snapping the wire - a major hassle to repair. Think of it as a Spring Razor bobblehead. To assemble my version, you'll need the following parts beyond what's provided by the 3D print: Hardware from your local Home Depot will suffice for assembly. If you can find screws of the right length, you won't have to cut them down. You'll need: * (6) #6 1" brass screws (I cut mine down to size) * (1) #6 steel nut (for repairing threads if you shorten the screws) * (6) #6 brass nuts * (12) brass washers (matching the above screw size) For the wire component, you'll need scrap Cat5 cable. Be careful when handling it - I used a lighter to strip off the plastic coating.
