Spring Loaded Toothbrush Case

Alrighty, well here it is, the toothbrush case for the criminally insane. You will need the following tools: -FFF Printer capable of printing parts ~230mm long. The main housing is also 240mm tall so you will need a printer that can print at least 240mm tall objects. The housing is nothing more then a housing though so maybe you could design one yourself that fits your printer. -Some tool to grind/sand down one screw. -Spring winding jig from my previous design(caliper case) or some way to wind some torsional springs. You will need the following supplies: -Rotational Damper qty.1 -Music Wire 0.031” Dia. -Music Wire 0.041” Dia. -Music Wire 0.021” Dia. -Extension Spring -Flat Head Screw Set QTY.2 – 6mm lg. QTY.3 – 8mm lg. QTY.6 – 10mm lg. QTY.1 – 12mm lg. QTY.1 – 16mm lg. QTY.2 – 18mm lg.(one needs to be ground down to 17mm lg.) -8mm lg. Socket Head Cap Screws(QTY.2) Torsion Spring Dimensions: 0.041” Wire Diameter x 8 turns x 180deg. (For the Main Cantilever Hinge Spring Loaded Strut) 0.031” Wire Diameter x 3 turns x ~135deg. (For the Main Brush Holder) 0.021” Wire Diameter x 4 turns x ~180deg. (For the Lid Latch) You could most definitely get away with using 0.031”wire diameter for the lid latch spring but the dimensions are just the from the ones I have installed, maybe use the same 3 turn 0.031 for the lid latch spring if you don’t want to get all the music wire sizes. *See my caliper case post for more on winding torsion springs using the winding blocks I am not going to make a detailed list of instructions but I will include pictures of all the parts and how they go together. I also included step files if you want to open it and see how all the parts go together. If you go through the photos backwards that should show the steps for putting it together. I will also try to mark the size screws in some of the pics. Be aware that the main holder latch cover slides into place since there is a chamfered lip on the end of it. The same goes for the main holder spring plate bottom and top. So these parts cant just simply be placed straight on, they must be slid into place. If you like what I do maybe consider sending me some money or filament. I do a lot of printing and testing for these projects and go through a fair amount of filament through all my testing. Thanks for the support!
