Spring-loaded Replicator 1 Drive Block Lever - remix

thingiverse

This upgrade remixes the lever for the Spring-loaded Replicator 1 Block, available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:252007. The remix includes two versions - a standalone upgraded lever and an adjustable tension version that also upgrades the spring. The improved lever is now one solid piece instead of having separate lever body and cover parts. In contrast to its predecessor, this design does not suffer from temperature issues or wear and tear. To print this part effectively, use 20% fill with no support structures needed. Note that high temperatures can compromise a component, as shown by the contrast between the new part at the top and the aged bottom one - an older version used in various parts and devices. Over time, these models revealed certain shortcomings such as inconsistent spring behavior, usually manifested in irregular movement patterns. Research showed a possible solution lay within precise measurement; a minor misalignment was enough to trigger such glitches, especially with the 0.21mm deviation noticed on bearings and their respective housing designs - something corrected through design improvements like 'rev3p4'. A critical point came into play when I realized the bearings got misplaced occasionally due lack proper grip onto its seat but rev3P3 solved this easily using slight tweaks; similar case resolved when we inserted tab of spring properly at an exact fit instead over wide gaps making ball better support and secure for turns required from end of lever part.
