This quarter holder is made to hold 40 quarters ($10 worth). Has a clip so you can clip it on your pants pocket. Only 2 files to print: the tube and the spring plug. You'll need a thin compression spring for the internal spring coil that pushes the spring plug cap up to the top to dispense the quarters. For both print files, I used i3mk3s+ standard PLA 0.15mm print settings, in PrusaSlicer. Print the spring plug flat side down, no supports.Print the main tube lying flat, with the side viewing hole on the top. Print the tube WITH supports, on build plate only.Post print, remove the supports off the tube. They should just pop right off either with pliers or by hand. It may be a little rough on the surface, but some sanding with some 120-220 grit sandpaper makes it look and feel a lot better. For the spring, you can find the compression springs I used on Amazon here: Amazon.com: Prime-Line SP 9711 Spring, Compression, 23/32 inch by 3-1/2 inch - .041 Diameter (2-pack),Nickel : Industrial & ScientificIMPORTANT: The full springs are pretty beefy if you put a whole spring in the tube and will not hold $10 worth of quarters. To make a smaller spring, I cut one full spring in the middle with pliers and made two smaller spring halves (only one half is needed for the quarter holder spring, so you can make two holders with the two halves). Then, stretch the cut spring out to make it slightly longer than the length of the tube. Make sure the flat factory end of the spring is in the bottom end of the tube. Use pliers to flatten out the cut end of the spring to make the plug flush with the top. Then, test the spring by putting it in the tube and putting 40 quarters in it, then unload them. If stretched correctly, the spring should hold the quarters nice and snug to the top tube tab all the way to the last quarter. If it gets softer around the final few quarters, take the spring out and stretch it some more. When both pieces are printed, put the cut and stretched spring inside the tube and pop the cap on the top of the spring and under the top tab and you're ready to hold some coins!
