Spring Loaded Phone Holder
myminifactory
I created a mount for my Robo 3D R1 to attach this phone holder to the heated bed, allowing me to capture better timelapses. Check out the video here: https://youtu.be/qNqM_ocIJ-0 This is a 3D printed phone holder with springs on the back that securely clamp onto any size smartphone. It also has screw holes for mounting to various objects. I included a mic stand mount, which fits snugly into a standard microphone stand. The phone holder holds the phone in place without worrying about it falling or sliding out. This video showcases my design process and talks about the phone holder. No support material was needed. I created two options, as after completing the first one, I noticed more bend in the spine than desired, so I made a sturdier version (labeled "sturdy"). If you decide which to print, go with the sturdy one for added durability. Post-Printing: All that's required is attaching two springs to the back. They attach to little tabs I've included. I use 11/32" x 1-7/16" Extension Springs (see picture), but different sizes may work better for your needs, so feel free to experiment!
