spring loaded feet for Ender 3
thingiverse
If you upgrade your Ender 3 with yellow springs, don't scrape the old ones. Instead, use them to create a sturdy base for your printer. Here's how to repurpose your old springs: First, print out one set of spring-loaded feet - and be aware that this will require four prints. Take a look at picture 1, which showcases all the printed parts alongside the original Ender spring. The top left features the mounting plate, complete with a central hole for the pin and edge holes for screws if needed. Next to it is the original Ender spring, followed by the pin itself and the main pillar on the upper right-hand side. Picture 2 displays the assembled mounting plate with the pin firmly in place. The next image shows the spring nestled within the main pillar and the mounting plate. Finally, picture 4 reveals the completed assembly, while picture 5 demonstrates the stand in action, showcasing its noise-reducing capabilities. The STL files for this project are available below: fuss_feder represents the main pillar, zapfen_o is the pin, federlager_o1 is the mounting plate, and by incorporating these parts, you'll experience a substantial reduction in noise.
