Spring loaded extruder for Leapfrog Creatr

The Creatr by Leapfrog features a fixed idler ball bearing that can be replaced with a spring-loaded type for improved filament control and easier changes. The Mk7 minimalistic replacement extruder design was chosen as a starting point; after testing, color changing became enjoyable. However, insufficient pressure on the filament led to a modification involving increased spring compression. The extruder performed well with ABS, Taulman Nylon, and PLA for over 100 hours. Additionally, a longer filament guide was added towards the hobbed wheel for easier filament changes. Note that photos depict v2 (light green parts) and v1 (red parts). Consider building an alternative design found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:321258 to accommodate flexible filaments like Arnitel and Ninjaflex. To install the new extruder, follow the instructions in the PDF document without removing wiring or original parts. Required additional items include 12 x 3mm washers, 2 x 3mm nylon washers, 2 x M3x25 screws, 1 x M4x15 screw, 1 x M4 nut, and 1 x spring (25mm x OD 10mm). A specific spring was sourced from reprapworld.com.
