Spring Engraver
thingiverse
I was looking for a way to replicate on my affordable CNC3018 the impressive results obtained at [here](https://youtu.be/7EctuSTL7-w?t=203) on (minute 3:23) when making solder mask for PCBs. Then I discovered that Brandon Piner had shared on [hackaday.io](https://hackaday.io/project/35101-cnc-mod-pack/log/148293-spring-engraver) a clever tool to hold a drill bit with a spring. I was unable to find suitable 3D models, so I decided to create it myself using the parts I had at home during these quarantine days. Printing Settings I am currently printing it with an Ender-3, 100% density, and 0.12 mm layer height. Required Parts - 1x original drill chuck - 1x spring from a pen - 4x M2.5 screws with fillister head *Note:* I haven't tested it yet. I will come back here with the results and maybe another version if needed.
