Spring adapter for MK6 Thumb/Normal screw plunger
thingiverse
This OpenSCAD-generated plunger is designed to securely hold the Thumbscrew during printing. It's based on JMZ's "Spring adapter for MK6+ plunger" but features a spring recess for 4xAA battery pack springs and a thumbscrew recess to prevent interference. To use it, remove M3 bolts and nuts, an M5 bolt and nut from the extruder block, and snip a spiral battery contact spring. Print the object (adjusting holes if necessary), then optionally drill a hole in a new thumbscrew cap and assemble with an allen key. Glue the spring into its recess, place captive M5 nuts in slots, screw the M5 bolt into the extruder block, slide the printed part over it, align holes, and secure with M3 bolts (using superglue if needed).
