Upgrade: this project has been closed due to lack of support, however I will still provide updates on my progress. The Reason can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3590034 Upgrade 03.05.18: This project was temporarily halted as I acquired a new 3D CNC milling machine: https://www.cnc-step.de/cnc-fraese-high-z-s-1000t-kugelgewindetrieb-1000x600mm/ I will now be able to create all necessary water-cooling components. V3: V3 will feature a water-cooled system. I require assistance from a skilled CNC milling specialist, as Piquard is no longer available. The 1.8A Nanotec stepper motors heat up the RAPS128 excessively, while the 120mm cooler permanently cools the RADDS. The spindles with zero-tolerance screws also heat up and require additional power, causing the motors to overheat or lose steps during printing infill ERP-PET with 140mm and 3D honeycomb infill. Initially, I purchased a water-cooling kit from youprintin3D: https://youprintin3d.de/hotendszubehoer/e3d/wasserkuehlung/834/water-cooling-kit.html?number=Water-Cooling-Kit Warning: avoid this product at all costs. It is a cheap, Chinese-made kit. Upon filling the kit with coolant, bubbles formed and burst at the surface, releasing grey fumes. The clear coolant turned into a milky sludge. When connected to the 12V power supply, none of the electrical components functioned correctly. youprintin3D refused to take back the product, claiming I had connected it incorrectly and damaged the electrical components. However, a friend disassembled the kit and identified the truth, which is that the product is defective. Update: youprintin3d contacted me, requesting that I delete my negative review. I will only do so if they agree to refund the purchase price. First Step: 1. Building all parts necessary for the diamond nozzle. 2. Creating a base for a circuit to cool the 9 stepper-motors, 9 RAPS128, and diamond Nozzle. Purchased components: * Aqua Computer Aquastream Ultimate pump with Aquainlet Pro reservoir: a high-performance pump that can be controlled via USB and features temperature, flow control sensors, and fan control. * Aqua Computer Radiator 240mm: a high-performance radiator designed for PC cooling. * Plug&Cool tube system 6/8mm with different connectors: a versatile tubing system for connecting components. * A Diamond Full-Color Nozzle water-cooled: a fully assembled nozzle that requires modification to accommodate the water circuit. Next steps: 1. Develop and connect waterblocks for the RAPS128 and NEMA 17 stepper motors. All parts for the diamond nozzle have been printed, including the spool holder, filament cleaner, holder for the stepper motors, and nozzle holder. All parts for the water pump have been printed, including the platform for the pump. Update: 25.03.2018 - The connectors for the 6/8mm tubes have been implemented, and the pressure for the pump has been decreased. I must recreate the holder. Update: 17.04.18 - After testing, I decided to recreate the heatbreak system, as the original heatbreaks are not optimal. When the printer retracts 2mm of filament, it cools down and clogs the heatbreak.
