I set out to refurbish an old Sony Vaio casing and eliminate any prominent branding on its surface. I opted for magic-sculp modeling epoxy from www.magicsculp.com due to its unique properties; it can be polished with water, allowing it to dry smooth and levelable like Bondo. Unfortunately, my previously crafted sculpting tools fell short because they couldn't handle the extensive volume of material that needed to be applied. So I created this tool as a solution. The last image shows a picture of the tool in action, along with one of my original sculpting tools after two hours of grueling work. Instructions To bring this design to life, simply print using 2 perimeters and an infill rate of 10%. On my CTC Makerbot clone, it successfully printed solid layers every other 2 inches, although that wasn't part of the initial plan when I designed the tool with Autodesk Fusion 360. My version is printed in red PLA, making it highly visible against lightly colored materials like modeling clay.
