I designed a Spreader for an A-Class RC yacht to suit a 16-diameter mast, which could be scaled and printed on a printer to accommodate other classes. The design can be printed horizontally in lengthways, but I used it as is with great results. For an enhanced finish, the printed spreader can be abraded or filled with auto-body filler, then sanded. Print Settings: Printer: FF Dreamer Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 75% to 100% Notes: I used PLA in the initial print, but future spreaders will be printed using Carbon fibre reinforced PLA. After 18 months of use, the design has proven effective at 205/55 degrees. Design Overview: I created this Spreader on OpenScad by importing NACA sections from Thingiverse, utilizing their unique aerodynamic features to optimize performance.
