Spreader arms for my Kossel wire/cable frame brace kit here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2941886 The original brace kit delivers outstanding results in terms of frame rigidity, but comes at the cost of some valuable printable volume. I put my mind to work on a reliable solution to update the braces and push out the wires, then discovered a simpler approach. These spreaders effectively move the wires outward, reclaiming most of the lost volume. Specifically, I estimate these spreaders reclaim between 50% and 60% of the lost volume, but they do an excellent job of reclaiming almost all of it in the lower sections, making them ideal for printing long items - although their effectiveness gradually decreases as the height increases and the wires slope back inward. To ensure the arm spread isn't too wide, I wanted to conduct thorough testing on the 100mm version before publishing a wider version. Assuming they hold up well without any breakage issues, I may release a 140mm version that would reclaim even more volume. Print three of these units. BOM: * 6 M4x12mm bolts * 6 M4 nuts
