Spray Paint Male-to-Male Adapter
thingiverse
I couldn't find any female nozzles/caps that fit my male spray paint cans, so I ordered some from online and they all came in male versions - a dead end! Instead of shelling out for an overpriced adapter or just buying more spray paint, I decided to design something myself. This solution isn't perfect, but it works for me. The design fits the specific nozzles/caps and spray cans I use (as shown in the picture), and I haven't tested them with other nozzles/caps or male-style spray cans. I added wings to the design so it's easier to use and remove when you're done. There's a "B" on one of the wings, indicating which side is the bottom and should be placed on the spray can - a crucial detail because the nozzle/cap neck size is smaller than the spray can neck size, making it unusable in reverse. It's designed to fit snugly to prevent leakage and ensure pressure stays inside the nozzle. If it doesn't fit tight on your spray can or nozzle/cap, it won't work as intended. I wouldn't recommend trying to use it if it's loose - you'll end up with paint everywhere!
