# Mount to control a spray can with a servo motor. For Team Scheire (a Belgian Big Life Fix), I built a [graffiti machine for Kenny](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOpgvW7aIhQ). I started with a [Maslow CNC](https://www.maslowcnc.com/) that can hold a spray can and use this mount to control the spray cans. As the Maslow is slow, I needed a durable solution to print dotted lines of spray paint, with powerful but short and consistent bursts of paint. This servo mount allowed me to do exactly that. This mount allows to quickly change spraying colors by easily snapping it on and off cans. I use MTN 94 cans and this mount is optimized for use with regular caps. It will work with other cans and caps, but caps with a finger indent work best. This servo mount has gone through multiple extensive spraying sessions and has successfully proven its worth. The mount consists of 4 parts, a **ring**, to firmly grab the spraycan, a **platform** that brings everything together, a **lever** that acts as the finger, and a **mounting bracket** for the servo. You need 4 M3x10, 2 M3x14, 1 M3x40 bolts and 2 M3 nuts to put it all together. A paperclip connects to a servo arm. Multiple holes allow for tuning. It is advised to put the best servo you can find in here and give it all the juice it needs. I used a [Savoxx SC-1257TG](https://www.savox-servo.com/Servos-c-1338/Coreless-Motor-c-1348/Savox-Servo-SC-1257TG-Digital-Coreless-Motor-Titanium-Gear/) servo motor. Pricey, at almost 70€, but it is known for its speed, precision, power and durability. This servo has been pumping out spraycan paintings for hours without a hitch. This mount was inspired by [Servo controlled Silly-String Trigger](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:12256) but redone for scratch to optimize it for spray cans and to endure extensive use.
