This is a clever Sprag Clutch device, widely utilized in many real-world applications, including helicopter head assemblies. It's ingeniously designed to rotate smoothly in one direction and become solidly locked in the other. Simply print out this diagram and try it for yourself! You'll notice that this particular design is intended to incorporate springs in the valley of each roller. However, experimenting with plastic can be tricky. Fortunately, a clever workaround involves using cut pieces of rubber band. By cutting a small piece and placing it vertically behind the roller in the V-cut, you can replicate the effect quite easily.
