Spouts
pinshape
I've created the most intricate design yet, a true marvel of geometric complexity. The inspiration came from an architect with a vision for a German building featuring innovative spout-like elements. However, translating this concept into a 3D printable object presented two significant challenges: strategically arranging the spouts on the base surface and finding a seamless way to fillet the joints between the spouts and the foundation. A video showcasing the finished print is available at Spouts Video, clocking in at 34 seconds. Although this part may be deemed impractical, it remains an engaging prototype that puts a printer's ability to produce smooth surfaces and minimize stringing to the test. This piece printed within 23 hours, utilizing a print speed of 80 mm/sec and a layer height of 0.200 mm.
