SpotMicro v2
pinshape
Based on the increasingly popular Spot Micro design, I made a custom branch to improve some key points. Here's what I changed: All nuts and bolts were replaced with self-tapping screws, making it way easier and faster to assemble and open/close covers to access electronics. Thanks to the self-tapping screw change, no more gluing of any part! The foot is bigger on the inside, and the wrist smaller (no noticeable difference from outside, but will have better elasticity). I changed the servo horn to the ones that come with the PDI-HV5523MG servos. I made a tester for those servo horns so anyone can check if they would fit before printing a leg section. If you'd like to customize this design further, please find the Fusion 360 design here. Hardware needed: I'll only list what's specific for this chassis version. (You already know you'll need a Raspberry Pi or other mainboard of your preference, etc.) Here are the links where I bought them so you can get the same if that's what you want. * 12 x PDI-HV5523MG servos. If you have other servos, please make sure they fit the design using the ServoHornTester.stl. * M3 self-tapping countersunk head screws. I didn't count how many you need. Get the kit, and you'll use them for other prints too! They should have countersunk heads, as I made space to fit those screw heads. These are used to link every printed part together. * 2 x 6mm self-tapping countersunk head screws. Make sure they're 6mm long, countersunk head, and M2. These are used to screw the servo horns to the printed parts. Parts to print: Some parts on this design are compatible with the original SpotMicro. When this is the case, I'll mention that in the list of things to print. Note about file naming: * F = Front * B = Back * I = Inner * O = Outer * L = Left * R = Right Servo Horn Tester: To avoid spending countless hours printing just to find out this design doesn't fit your servos, I'd recommend printing the servo tester. It prints quite fast and ensures every other print will work with your hardware. 1 x ServoHornTester.stl Body: * 1 x Chassis_Baseplate_v2.0.stl (compatible with SpotMicro v1.0) * 2 x Chassis_Side_v2.0.stl (compatible with SpotMicro v1.0) * 1 x F_I_Shoulder_v2.0.stl * 1 x F_O_Shoulder_v2.0.stl * 1 x B_I_Shoulder_v2.0.stl * 1 x B_O_Shoulder_v2.0.stl Legs: * 2 x L_HindLimb_v2.0.stl * 2 x L_MidLimb_v2.0.stl * 2 x L_Wrist_v2.0.stl * 2 x L_MidLimbCover_v2.0.stl (compatible with SpotMicro v1.0) * 2 x R_HindLimb_v2.0.stl * 2 x R_MidLimb_v2.0.stl * 2 x R_Wrist_v2.0.stl * 2 x R_MidLimbCover_v2.0.stl * 4 x Foot_v2.0.stl (Better if printed in TPU or any elastic material) Covers: * 1 x Cover_Top_v2.0.stl * 1 x Cover_Bottom_v2.0.stl * 1 x Head_RPiCam_v2.0.stl * 1 x Butt_Empty_v2.0.stl
