Spot Welder (Soldadura por puntos)
thingiverse
These are a pair of spot welding machines. The idea came from a YouTube video that utilizes a PC power supply case to house all the components. Essentially, I've used a microwave transformer and an Aliexpress PCB to regulate time and intensity of the weld. What took me the most effort was getting one machine to weld batteries (parallel tips) and sheets with opposite tips in the same device. You can also see that I made a pedal to trigger the welding point with my foot, which is very useful if you have your hands occupied. In one of the machines, since the electronic components are smaller, I was able to fit everything inside the case. In the other, as you can see, part of the electronics has to stay outside. I'd like to remind people interested in making a contraption like this to be extremely careful when removing the microwave transformer from the oven, even if it's not plugged into the outlet. Be very careful with the capacitor; discharge it before doing anything. This is deadly. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1/32808302953.html https://www.aliexpress.com/item/IMC-Hot-SPDT-Nonslip-Metal-Momentary-Electric-Power-Foot-Pedal-Switch/32801353662.html https://www.aliexpress.com/item/smd-fuse-2A-2012/32807721916.html
