The transformer was salvaged from a 10 KVA power supply with the secondary replaced by a single turn of copper braid. The power is supplied from a bank of 250V DC electrolytic capacitors. Both the voltage and the duration and number of pulses (controlled by MOSFET H bridge) are adjustable. Controlled by a two stage foot switch that actuates the air cylinder and then the power.
