Spores
thingiverse
Hi! This set of unique pieces is the 4th design in my "Plastic Reef" series, where I experimented with procedural and generative algorithms implemented in Openscad to recreate bizarre undersea creatures. The style and look of the "Spores" are inspired by Ernst Haeckel's captivating drawings. I'm fascinated by these kinds of illustrations and the organic structures that seem to have been created by an algorithmic process. Not a straightforward print, some models require supports, good retraction settings, and z-hop is recommended, so take it as a challenge to enhance your slice and printing skills. If you experience bed adhesion issues, I suggest using a brim or lowering the model a few millimeters to provide a flat surface and improved stick to bed. This project was made possible by Fillamentum's support and the passion of many dedicated makers.
