<p>This device was created for anyone who has difficulty eating due to shaking or tremors. I have to link the STL and Solidworks files in the download of this file, so if anyone needs to alter the design, feel free. The utensil part of this device is detachable to allow for easier cleaning. <br><br>Tools:<br>- Snips, dremel, or an angle grinder (to cut the steel fork)<br>- Needle nose pliers (to remove supports)<br><br>Print Instructions:<br>- 100% infill<br>- 0.2mm layer height<br>- yes supports<br>- PLA, ABS, or PETG <br><br>Materials List (excluding 3d prints)<br>- <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Fidget-Spinner-Bearing-Chrome-Replacement/dp/B07B8VZJGD/ref=sr_1_7_sspa?crid=L83P5A9OAXAE&keywords=open+bearing&qid=1667829759&sprefix=open+bearing%2Caps%2C91&sr=8-7-spons&psc=1&smid=A3RMJZMAP3U4RK">8x22x7mm bearing</a><br>- <a href="https://www.amazon.com/SGTKJSJS-Computer-Thumbscrews-Thread-Fastener/dp/B07X4WTTV7/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2JCBZGJ7BM5TS&keywords=desktop+case+screw&qid=1667829809&sprefix=desktop+case+scre%2Caps%2C107&sr=8-2">Computer case thumbscrew</a><br>- Steel fork or spoon<br>- <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Super-Glue-15171-12-Dishwasher-Glass/dp/B01C680H4M/ref=sr_1_3_mod_primary_sns?crid=ZXBHR91LGTDF&keywords=food+safe+super+glue&qid=1667829985&sbo=GLaw0Fx56FiNH%2FiZ%2B6XKiQ%3D%3D&sprefix=food+safe+super+glu%2Caps%2C101&sr=8-3">Super glue</a><br>- <a href="https://www.amazon.com/Fishfun-Tungsten-Fishing-Weights-Anodized/dp/B08Z7QHSWB/ref=sxin_15_pa_sp_search_thematic_sspa?content-id=amzn1.sym.b05db705-0b89-4b8b-82f5-e767e46bfb6a%3Aamzn1.sym.b05db705-0b89-4b8b-82f5-e767e46bfb6a&crid=3W4X4RPIY8EAG&cv_ct_cx=tungsten+weights&keywords=tungsten+weights&pd_rd_i=B08Z7QHSWB&pd_rd_r=cac27008-cdde-465e-9b7f-d07e7dff4a93&pd_rd_w=IfwLV&pd_rd_wg=MXBd1&pf_rd_p=b05db705-0b89-4b8b-82f5-e767e46bfb6a&pf_rd_r=BTBAG9NBM966SEZPHXGX&qid=1667830667&sprefix=tungsten+weight%2Caps%2C197&sr=1-3-a73d1c8c-2fd2-4f19-aa41-2df022bcb241-spons&psc=1">Tungsten fishing weights</a> (if a weighted handle is preferred)<br><br>Assembly Instructions: <br>1. Print the linked 3d files with the correct settings</p><p>2. Put a small light ring of food-safe super glue in the outside of the bearing and press it into the handle, making sure to now get ANY glue into the bearing. Getting glue in the bearing will cause it to not work correctly. Let the glue dry for about an hour.</p><p>3. Repeat step two for putting the “insert” into the bearing, applying a light ring of glue, and making sure to now get ANY glue into the bearing. Getting glue in the bearing will cause it to not work correctly. Let the glue dry for about an hour.</p><p>4. Cut the desired utensil like seen by the red line in image 3, this shape allows the stabilizer to swing better, keeping food on it.</p><p>5. Glue the desired utensil into the “spoon attachment” with food-safe super glue. Let the glue dry for about an hour.</p><p>6. If a weighted handle is desired, fill the handle with weights through the open hole in the top, If no weights are needed, continue to clue the “grip Insert” onto the end of the handle.</p><p>7. Lastly get the locking screw and, with a screwdriver, repeatedly screw back and forth into the provided hole in the “insert” so that it creates the needed threads. Do this gently as you don't want to strip the plastic. Once it has been screwed back and forth enough to be hand-turnable, assembly is complete. </p><p><br>If you have any questions related to this design, you can contact me at <a href="mailto:ianfaulkner2023@gmail.com">ianfaulkner2023@gmail.com</a></p>
