Spoolholder for Folgertech FT5 (2020 extrusion)

The spoolholder is crafted with standard 10mm aluminum rods that were readily available. It fits snugly on top of the FT5 or any other machine featuring 2020 CNC profiles. The length of the ALU-rods determines the size, making it easy to create a customized version. Angles are set at 60°. Since only the feet are securely fixed on the profile, the holder can be effortlessly disassembled if needed. Two versions are available: one designed for 10mm rods and another for 8mm rods. The spoolholder also features added 10mm clips to keep the spool firmly in place. Additionally, a filament guide is included to maintain control over the filament. The guide has been slightly modified to ensure optimal performance. Print Settings: Printer: Folgertech FT5 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: Your choice Infill: 50% Notes: Higher infill settings are necessary for achieving a smooth, closed surface on top, rather than added strength. To print the spoolholder, I used four perimeter shells and four top/bottom layers. The top part was printed upside down, while the bottom part was printed as it will be mounted. Be sure to add support to the bottom part during printing. For printing with PLA, use a layer height of 0.3mm and an extrusion temperature of 200°C.
