Spool-Vue : Filament Storage

SPOOL-VUE A Wall Mounted Filament Storage System. I had a few too many odd spools knocking around that wouldn't fit in my normal storage boxes so any excuse to design something new, I fired up Fusion and set about creating something different to store them.Originally it was going to be floor mounted, but quickly found out that it would need a much sturdier centre (STEEL TUBE) to stop them from tipping over when the holders are moved, then decided to go for a wall mounting system instead. There are six main parts and a screw cover in case you don't want the screws showing.I have two 12 spool racks set up and they seem to be holding up well in PLA.These are the parts : - SPOOL VUE - BASE CONECTOR SPOOL VUE - SPOOL HOLDER SPOOL VUE - BASE SUPPORT SPOOL VUE - MAIN CONNECTOR SPOOL VUE - TOP CONNECTOR SPOOL VUE - WALL CONNECTOR SPOOL VUE - SCREW COVER The parts all just slot into each other. To Start Slot a BASE CONNECTOR through a SPOOL HOLDER and into a BASE SUPPORT.Then just slide on a MAIN CONNECTOR or WALL CONNECTOR, then another SPOOL HOLDER and repeat. (I recommend a Wall Connector after every three Spool Holders). It does unfortunately take a lot of filament and time to print so it becomes costly to make and probably isn't something that many will want, just thought I'd put it up for others to try if they were so inclined. I estimate 2 ½ reels of filament for a 12 spool system with the slicer settings I used below.Estimated Print times and filament usage on a PRUSA MK4 with Input Shaper :-BASE SUPPORT - 25% infill - 144g Filament - 5 HR 25 MINS - SUPPORTSBASE CONNECTOR :- 25% infill - 63g Filament - 1 HR 46 MIN - No supportsSPOOL HOLDER :- 30% Honeycomb Infill - 85g Filament- 4.5 HR - No Supports (diagonal on bed)MAIN CONNECTOR :- 30% Infill - 80g Filament - 2 HR 32 MIN - Use SupportsTOP CONNECTOR - 30% Infill - 70g Filament - 2 HR 20 MINS - Use SupportsWALL CONNECTOR - 30% Infill - 120g Filament - 3 HR 30 MINS - Use Supports12 Spool System = approximately 2.5 kg of Filament and around 95 hours of printing.
