This will securely cradle a reel-type filament spool, ensuring smooth unreeling while printing. It will also hold the small spools that T-Glase comes on all the way up to the large spools most filament comes on. The current design is marked as a work in progress since the bearings used came preassembled with grooved spindle from Vetco.net. Although fully functional, this design relies heavily on these grooved spindles, which are the primary feature making it operational. A supplementary piece that fits a standard 608 bearing has been included. To support my design efforts and continue creating helpful content like this one, your donation is greatly appreciated if you find these designs useful. Assembly Requirements: To complete this project, the following components will be needed. The actual requirements might vary depending on the type of bearings chosen: Two printed base parts with symmetrical structures Four 608 bearings (if they don't come preassembled like mine did from Vetco.net) Four spindles designed specifically for the 608 bearings Four M8 bolts measuring 40mm each Eight lock nuts also made of M8 material Assemble the printed bearing spindle by pressing a 608 bearing into it through the beveled side until it's centered. This position should be against the inner race of the opening. When constructing, ensure flat washers are positioned to sandwich the bearings and prevent any rotation or rocking when tightened. The spool sides nest within the grooves of the bearing spindles.
