Create a strong spool holder for 1 Kg spools by MakerBot and others. Note that this design is still under development; it will be enhanced with a different vertical support attached to the Z motor. You'll require 25-35mm of thread outside the z motor for this concept. The necessary wooden dowels are 0.375 inches (9.5mm) in diameter and have lengths of 213mm, 180mm, and 200mm respectively for diagonal, vertical, and axle pieces. If your Z motor is positioned differently, shorten the vertical piece by 40mm and the diagonal piece by 46mm. Assemble the parts with epoxy glue and position the spool's center hole on the smaller inner hub diameter for suspension. You can install two holders if desired, simply mirroring the axle assembly.
