Spool spin table
thingiverse
I've been brainstorming ways to repurpose old filament spools and stumbled upon a brilliant idea - creating a handheld spinning table using one of these spools. To bring this concept to life, you'll need some basic materials: screws, a rubber band, and a sturdy base to attach it to. Unfortunately, I'm not too skilled when it comes to designing gears, so feel free to experiment with different sizes or add-ons to make it work for your specific filament spools. Happy tinkering! Print Settings: Printer: Wanhao duplicator i3 v2 Rafts: You can skip this step Supports: Absolutely necessary Resolution: 0.2 mm precision guaranteed Infill: A 20% density setting works wonders Notes: I found that printing with supports for the handle was a game-changer, and infilling at 20% gave it just the right amount of stability. Three outer shells ensured a sturdy finish.
