Spool Roller for aluminum extrusion 2020 printers
thingiverse
Spool roller system that's adjustable, won't topple over, and easy to install on a printer using aluminum extrusion or open beam frame. This spool roller is used on my reprap, Aluminum 3DPrintMi, and it works great. The filament guide is set up to pull the filament in one direction, preventing the spool from toppling over when the extruder pulls on the filament. This system can be adjusted for different sized spools by simply moving one end of the roller to the correct distance. Aluminum 3DPrintMi, found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:825277, provides the necessary BOM to assemble this system. To complete this project, you will need a 2mm ID x 4mm OD teflon tube, available at http://www.robotdigg.com/product/133/PTFE+filament+tubing+10+meters. As an alternative, you can substitute the 608ZZ Flanged Bearing with printed 608 idler pulleys, which can be found by searching for "608 pulley" on Thingiverse.
