This heavy-duty device lets you eject the internal spool from a XYZPrinting Da Vinci filament cartridge and insert it in a drill for rewinding new filament onto it without any tiny threads or teeth that might break off. A SolidWorks model of the XYZPrinting filament cartridge spool is also included. Assembly Instructions: Print both parts. They are oriented correctly for printing and should require no supports. Eject the spool from a Da Vinci cartridge. Position both pieces around the center of the spool, ensuring Side A's teeth engage into the holes on the spool. The pieces should fit snugly together in the middle. Next, pass a 4.5" long, 1/4" bolt through Side B and then Side A. Place one washer on it before passing it all through. Add another washer over the end of the bolt, secure it with a wingnut, and proceed to attach this assembly to an electric drill. Lastly, chuck the free end of the bolt into the drill, allowing you to wind new filament onto the spool as needed.
