I'm redesigning a storage system for my 3D printing supplies by creating a stacking rack that utilizes a versatile 25mm curtain pole to securely hold multiple filament spools. To assemble this innovative design, I simply print two identical components and then attach a 25mm curtain pole tube, which can be easily sourced online or in local hardware stores. This clever setup allows me to stack additional racks on top of each other, providing ample storage space for my various filaments. By implementing this solution, I've eliminated the need to individually mount spools to my printer, making it a breeze to swap out filaments as needed. Now, I can simply pull the filament down straight into the extruder from the convenient spool rack, streamlining my printing process and saving me valuable time and effort.
