Kudos to didierkl for sparking this idea! Why not repurpose empty filament spools as storage containers for all those small parts cluttering your workspace? These boxes fit snugly into most 750g spools with a central hole measuring 52 mm and an outer diameter of 200 mm, leaving a 105 mm inner diameter. The detachable bottom frames are designed to stay securely in place, thanks to a small rim that prevents the boxes from falling out. No adhesives required! The assembly can freely rotate within the spool for effortless access. Three sizes are included: 30, 45, and 60 degrees. Feel free to combine them as long as the total sum adds up to a full 360-degree circle – just check the provided images. The connector allows you to stack multiple spools on top of each other. I use these storage containers for my FormFutura spools, which match the specified dimensions. You can likely scale the parts slightly if your empty spools have slightly different measurements. Step-files are included for your convenience.
