Spool Mount with Bearings

Spool Mount with Bearings

This is one of the mods I've given my Ender 3 Pro. I felt a need to ease the tension on the extruder motor as it had a couple of instances of the filament snapping. This combined with my spool mount relieved that tension by utilizing bearings. For this, I simply printed both the outer guide and inner guide with the flat side on the bed. Put those together with two bearings in between them on the dowel pins. Once two of these are made, move the metal filament support that comes with most Enders to the horizontal runner. Then using 8-32 bolts, washers, and nuts, attach both parts to the support using the groves on the support. Overall, here is the list of parts that will be needed: 2 x Inner Guide 2 x Outer Guide 4 x Bearings http://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C6FL8TW/ref=nosim?tag=printorpaintumt-20 6 x 8-32 bolts http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BPD6U0/ref=nosim?tag=printorpaintumt-20 6 x 8-32 nuts http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BQMMFY/ref=nosim?tag=printorpaintumt-20 6 x #8 washers http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HYLXRMG/ref=nosim?tag=printorpaintumt-20 Note, depending on the filament role size, the guides may need to be adjusted. Often, one of my guides is only held on by two bolts, not three. Please let me know if you have any questions.
