Spool Mount Brochure Holder
thingiverse
Print the hub and holder together with glue, then insert them into a 53mm bore spool that fits perfectly. This part was specifically designed around colorFabb spools but should work well on many others as well. There are two versions of the holder to choose from - one without support and another with built-in disk support. If you're able to handle the bottom cutout with bridging, the no-support version might be a good option for you. On the other hand, the built-in support disk is definitely the way to go if your slicer can handle it. There's about a 0.5mm gap between the top of the disk and the bottom of the opening, which might be a problem for some slicers but not all. I've found that Cura struggles with this part, while simplify3D handles it with ease. So, your choice of slicer may determine which version of the file you print. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Ultimaker Printer: Ultimaker 2 Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: Low Notes: You might or might not need supports for the small cutout at the bottom of the holder, depending on how well your printer bridges. I'm going to tweak the model so that no support is required.
