Spool lamp

HI. I've got a bunch of spools lying around and wasn't sure what to do with them. Then it hit me - a spool can be a fantastic decorative lamp. It's modern art, after all! The benefits are numerous: a modern look, a new look every day, minimal materials required, interchangeable parts, and now you know exactly what to do with empty spools. Plus, they're stackable if you need a bigger lamp. Here's what you'll need: * An E14 (small bulb) lamp * A lamp cable - I prefer the IKEA one because of its long length and low price * An E14 LED bulb that uses low power and generates minimal heat * A spool * A printer and some filament Printing is a bit more complicated than it looks, but it's definitely doable. Here are the printing settings: Nain mount: * Print in normal position * Supports under the center part * Brims around the legs * 100% infill for added strength (but you can decide on that) Top (the trickiest print of this set): * Print in normal position * Supports around the external "ring" * Supports inside the interior "ring" * 100% infill Leg: * Print in normal position * No brims or supports needed * Print with 3-4 perimeters and no infill (empty inside) or 100% infill for added strength Connector: * Print in normal position * 100% infill * Supports everywhere
