This is a comprehensive collection of spool inserts that should cater to almost all spool sizes you will come across, including Hobby King's own brand, 3D Warhorse and E-DA filament. Smaller spools can be accommodated by spacing them out with other spool inserts or the washer. A print setting of no supports, raft or brim and 10 percent infill with four walls and six top and bottom layers is recommended. Each insert takes approximately 25 to 45 minutes to print, and you will need two of each size. To avoid stringing and minimize travel time, it's best to print them one at a time. Each time I tried a different brand filament, I printed another size (the larger ones prompted me to get creative with the shape to save filament) but now that I have this entire set, I haven't needed any others so far. If you attach the SpoolExtenderXL holder to your spool shaft, you can easily store your most frequently used filaments nearby.
