Spool Holder

For your Prusa i1, I designed a spool holder particularly for 8mm rods spaced 57mm apart. It is compatible with Vik's diamondage 125m Spools, ensuring that the filament does not touch threaded rods when full or empty. The holder uses Vik's spool holder and ABEC-9 skate bearings for smooth operation. To improve functionality, I drilled the center of Vik's spool holders to a 14mm inner race diameter to avoid drag. Position the spool above the printhead and print; note that the finished print now sits 60mm further back due to testing results. Despite appearing close in photos, the filament travels smoothly between the two threaded rods without interference.
