Spool Holder with Thread Rod for Sintron Prusa i3
thingiverse
This design works perfectly with every frame that measures 5mmx50mm, which is the top bar of any frame. I required a spool holder for my Sintron Prusa i3 printer so I bought the original one designed by Josef Prusa from Prusa Research and modified it to fit the Sintron acrylic frame. To do this, I extended the frame mount from 4cm to 5cm and added an 8mm threaded rod to hold the spool securely in place and provide enough space for two 1kg spools. If you're interested in a simpler version without the 8mm threaded rod, check out the Spool Holder for Sintron Prusa i3. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: A minimum of 15% is recommended Notes: Wall Thickness: The walls should be at least 3 layers thick, with the top, bottom and sides all included. Post-Printing: When you insert the 8mm rod into the left holder, it will fit tightly and need to be screwed in place. I made this design stable by doing so and because the right side has a loose fitting that allows spools to be easily removed or inserted. To do this, simply unscrew the right holder, put the spool inside and screw the holder back into place.
