I built my own custom skateboard bearing spool holders using spare 608 bearings I had lying around in my toolbox. I printed two stepped spool holders and press-fit two 608 bearings, one on each side, then mounted them onto an 8mm threaded rod and secured them with some locknuts. The custom-designed spool holder can accommodate anything from a 36mm to a larger diameter spool. The outer diameter of the holder measures 60mm.
