Spool Holder Wall Mount Fortified
thingiverse
Remixed wall mount spool holder originally created by MasterD. I was inspired by his straightforward design but needed something more robust. I merged it with a simple triangle-shaped bracket found on thingiverse to create an even stronger structure. The upgraded physics result in enhanced resilience against mechanical and gravitational forces. It's printed with PLA and can easily hold 1kg spools. IMPORTANT: Print at 30% infill or higher, increase the outer wall to around 1.5mm or 2mm, or use 4 shells so it can handle a spool's weight effectively. Use strong screws or nails for wall mounting and add a filament guide, filter, and guide tube to create a smooth curve. The leftover holes on the small triangle bracket actually improve the object's stability. Print Settings: Printer: Flashforge Finder Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.14mm but 0.3 can also work Infill: 30% or higher Notes: IMPORTANT: Print at 30% infill or higher & increase outer wall to around 1.5mm or 2mm or use 4 shells so it can handle a spool's weight effectively. Use a filament guide tube and an additional filament guide, and maybe add a filament filter as well. Post-Printing I used a simple cable holder as a guide, a universal filament filter, and an elastic guide tube.
