Spool holder using M8 rod and 608ZZ bearing v2
thingiverse
Filament spool holder for spools with hole diameters ranging from 20mm to 80mm. Based on xp7amrkr's design at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:467008, I adapted it to fit a 608ZZ bearing, which has a diameter of 22mm and a height of 7mm, using an M8 threaded rod. I recreated the design using OpenSCAD version 2016.03.26. I would like to extend my gratitude to AndrewBCN for helping me refine the holder's edges and strengthen its legs, as seen at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:586673. I must also thank lejoiedevivre for suggesting rounded legs, even though I chose a more subtle curve, visible in their design at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1521561. Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Kossel Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25mm Infill: 10% Notes: The original version of this filament spool holder can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:545954 and was printed using a Kossel Mini with Marlin firmware running on a RAMPS 1.4 board. When slicing, I used the following settings: 0.25mm height, 2 loops, 10% infill, and a speed of 45mm/s (30mm/s at the perimeter). Temperature: 200°C extruder temperature and no heat bed was used during printing. Note: This version has not been printed yet. Assembly Instructions: To assemble this spool holder, you will need two holders, two 608ZZ bearings, two M8 nuts, two M8 washers, and a single 8mm threaded rod that is approximately 15cm in length. For more information on fitting the M8 rod onto an aluminum frame, see http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:545898.
