Spool Holder
thingiverse
Filament Spool Holder crafted in solidworks is designed with versatility in mind. It can be printed in one seamless piece if your 3D printer's build volume allows it, or you can opt for separate pieces that can be assembled later. The cutout on top of the holder accommodates a standard 0.25 inch diameter tube, which fits snugly, ensuring a secure fit. To assemble the separate parts, superglue is used, and so far, they have withstood the test of time, proving to be a sturdy combination. With the spool held at an optimal distance from the surface, it spins freely, allowing for smooth filament feeding. This design also complements the Filament Spool Holder 2 by thingiverse, accessible through http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:436112. In the accompanying image, my print is showcased, but due to printer constraints, I had to scale down the original dimensions of the holder. To compensate for this reduction in size and ensure proper clearance, a square base was printed separately, which sits under the stands, providing ample room for the spool to rotate freely.
