Spool Holder / Stand for 3D Printer, 608zz Bearing
thingiverse
I designed a simple spool holder/stand using four 608zz bearings with dimensions of 7mm x 8mm x 22mm. To enhance usability, I added extra space between the bearing and bottom, as well as reduced the chamfer size. The stand is adaptable to different spool sizes, with a design reference point being a 200mm diameter spool. For easy removal, I incorporated grooves at the bottom of the holder, while fins (feet) improve stability. To assemble the stand, you will need four bearings, four pins, and two holders that fit together snugly. If needed, a small amount of super glue can be used to secure the parts in place. This design project is intended for students to learn fundamental skills such as basic sketching, constraints, patterns, projection, extrusion, and tolerances.
