A recent update has been implemented to increase the space between each bearing and the bottom, while also reducing the size of the chamfer. This design serves as an ideal reference point for spools with a diameter of 200mm, but its versatility makes it suitable for various other spool sizes. To enhance usability, grooves have been strategically placed at the bottom to facilitate easy removal of the stand. In addition, fins (feet) have been integrated to provide stability. To construct this stand, you will need four bearings, four pins, and two holders that fit snugly together. If necessary, a touch of super glue can be applied for added security. This project is specifically designed as an introductory challenge for students looking to develop their skills in basic sketching, constraints, patterns, projection, extrusion, tolerances, and more.
