UPDATE: Be cautious of slack in the filament that can create loose loops on the spool when oriented in this way. If these loops get pulled off by the print head's movement, they may cause a printer jam. Avoid letting this happen at all costs. A simple solution is to attach velcro. You can put it right onto your printer or line up several pieces on a nearby wall for a neat and organized setup. The design of the peg is intentional - its 5-degree incline keeps the spool securely in place, preventing it from slipping off accidentally. This particular holder fits smoothly into Hatchbox and Solidoodle spools, and its measurements can be seen clearly in our gallery photos. These dimensions are listed in inches for reference. Getting started requires careful attention to your printer's setup. Since this print is relatively large, a solid bed adhesion is key to successful printing. A slight amount of warping may occur, especially if you're using velcro or foam tape to secure it.
