Spool Holder / Rubbermaid Case
thingiverse
Another spool holder for 20cm spools:\r\n\r\nTo create the spool holder, print two spiral_spool_16 units and one each of spool_stand_in and spool_stand_out. Recommended materials include PLA or ABS. In addition to printing these parts, you will need two 608zz bearings and two M5 x 10mm screws, with a low-profile design featuring thin but wide heads. The spool holder is intentionally designed to be low profile in order to fit neatly into the optional container. To assemble the spool holder, secure the bearings into the spiral_spool_16 units, then insert the spool_stand_in unit into the spool_stand_out unit and hold them together using a series of notches and grooves that provide just enough resistance to keep them in place. The amount of force required to hold the parts together can be adjusted according to the thickness of the spool.\r\n\r\nFor the case, print a rubbermaid_lid using TPU. The container is specifically designed for use with a "Rubbermaid 1840749 16-Cup Modular Dry Food Storage Zylar Container". In addition to printing this part, you will also need a small piece of bowden tube.
