I'm not a fan of the roller style spool holder that comes with the Prusa MK3 MMU2. So, I designed and 3D printed my own hanging type spool holder using original bearings and rods to suit my needs. This is a custom project tailored for my situation, but hopefully it will be useful for others as well. I primarily use filament from eSun and Sunlu, and I believe this design fits standard size 1kg spools. However, bigger and wider spools won't fit in this setup. My solution shortens the distance between the printer and the spools, eliminating the issue of crazy retraction loops. For printing settings and post-printing details, please refer to the following sections. Edit: It turns out that hiding retracted filament in a box is not the best idea. It increases the chance of entangling filaments. Instead, use double PTFE tubes method for better results.
