Spool holder redesigned - RzR
thingiverse
This is a versatile spool holder utilizing skate bearings that's ideal for individuals with an enclosure for their printer. The design has been meticulously crafted to fit snugly between parts and can be printed using a resolution of 0.35mm with a 0.4mm nozzle, although it may also work with different resolutions. For added strength, I recommend printing the perimeter using three layers. To assemble one universal spool holder, you'll need to print each part four times and four skate bearings. Watch as they come together seamlessly: https://youtu.be/pJDJmUl4MLE I've recently updated the design by adding a "drag spring" feature that prevents excessive spinning of the spool when the extruder pulls filament. This added resistance is subtle yet effective. To see how I incorporated this feature, check out my latest video: https://youtu.be/-Y49ox4xa2E Here are the skate bearing measurements: * Inside Diameter: 8.00mm * Outside Diameter: 22.00mm * Width: 7.00mm If you have any suggestions for improvements, please don't hesitate to share them.
