Spool Holder N Motor Mount // Anet A8 - E3D V6

thingiverse

This is a spool holder and MK8 motor mount combination for the Anet A8 printer, specifically designed to work seamlessly with the E3D V6 upgrade. I created this custom design by taking the mount from AndreReichl's Spool holder and modifying it to fit on the right top side of my printer. I also made some adjustments for better alignment. To complete the look, I paired it with the MK8 motor mount from Bakchos, which adds a nice touch to the overall design. Please note that you will need longer screws for this mount, but be cautious not to overdo it - if the screw is too long, it could potentially crack your printer's frame. I learned this lesson the hard way! To avoid any issues with filament threading, I recommend using the original threaded rod from the Anet spool holder. Additionally, I suggest placing a short filament tube between the motor and the spool to prevent damage during printing. You also have the option of using the internal spool holder from Madjestik58, but that's entirely up to your personal preference. For those interested in just the spool holder without the MK8 motor mount, you can find it separately uploaded. Print Settings: Printer: Anet A8 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 Infill: 25% Notes: 0.2mm resolution provides a great balance between speed and appearance - I highly recommend sticking with this setting. If you want to increase the infill, that's fine too, but don't go lower than this!
