Spool Holder inner part with end cap
thingiverse
dintid's spool holder is truly outstanding and I was thrilled to build one out. This remix only takes his inner screw part and lowers the bearing and nut down 16mm so that the nut ends up flush with the outside. Then, I designed and added an end cap to cover the bearing and nut. The end nut can be printed in the same filament, a different color, or for me - I did it in Ninja Semi-Flex. This is only one part of the spool holder - you'll need the rest from here (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1000323) Print Settings Printer Brand: Robo 3D Printer: R1 ABS + PLA Model Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2mm Infill: 20% Notes: I printed these in eSun PETG @ 235* running my fan @ 60% starting on the 4th layer. The Ninja Semi-Flex was printed at 230* and fan @100% starting on the 3rd layer. You most likely will need supports for the lower bearing slot on the inner part. Depending on your printer's resolution - you should be able to print both the inner part and the end cap without any scaling. I did have to up-scale my end cap using NinjaFlex. I also printed these using a .6mm nozzle Be sure to print this inner part and dintid's slimmed spoolholder nut at the same infill. Post-Printing I used dintid's 3mm spacer between the mount nut and the lower bearing - this kept the spool close to my vslot, but gives enough room so as not to cause any issues.
